Economic Business Development, Inc. (EBD) was created with a vision that livelihoods and economic development are key to alleviating poverty and transforming lives. Core efforts span Poverty Relief, Livelihoods and Public Policy with focus on India and the US.

EBD History
- Initiated and funded by the US Department of Commerce in 2000.
- Small business advocacy with support from banks, utilities and the community.
- Corporate procurement, small business loans, technical assistance & training.
- Agreement with the University of Southern California for entrepreneurship education.
- A state-of-the art business incubator in Southern California.
- Partners included diversity business organizations and chambers of commerce.
- Organized the India Trade Conference partnering with Quanta Consulting, Port of Los Angeles, US Commercial Service, Empower Tamizhagam, TIE, USC and community organizations.
- Latest efforts have been India-focused with sister organization ET-Impact Empower Tamizhagam.

Empower Tamizhagam (ET-Impact) is an India-based public charitable non-profit organization. ET-Impact has been duly granted approval and registration by the Government of India as a tax-exempt NGO.
